What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Supplier selection and nomination of new projects for the respective commodity
  • Acting as the main commercial interface including price responsibility from concept until after sales
  • Maintaining supplier and customer relationship
  • Contact person for suppliers and internal interfaces for the respective commodity
  • Preparing and agreeing contracts with suppliers
  • Ensuring and supporting the purchasing process during the product development, starting with quotation and concept until start of production (SOP)
  • Performing budget planning and PPI activities
  • Creating and continuously developing a deep understanding of market and technologies in the respective commodity
  • Initiating cost reduction initiatives on supplier level, organizing regular technical and cost reduction workshops
  • Supporting proper supplier risk management
  • Monitoring and reporting of supplier status and KPIs
  • Supporting commodity goals are met in terms of costs, quality and time
  • Release and approve vendor master data

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in in Business Administration, Engineering or other appropriate  or comparable qualifications
  • PC literacy - SAP MM Module, MS Office
  • Professional experience – 2 years (ideally in the global automotive industry and/or purchasing)
  • Excellent level of English (written and spoken)
  • Team player, Negotiation skills at all company levels
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience with plastics will be considered as an advantage
  • Willingness to travel within Europe (<10%)
